Resources

The Springfield Central Library can help teachers locate materials and plan research projects and papers. We also teach research skills, including evaluation of internet sources, correct citation format, and creation of Works Cited pages. Finally, we help students discover young adult and classical literature and nonfiction that interests them.

The Springfield Central Library promotes the importance of recreational reading school-wide and can serve as consultants on internet use, safety, and ethics; copyright law, and web 2.0/3.0 tools. Should classroom teachers wish to incorporate more outside reading into their curricula, we can also help them to locate literature pairings.
